GBYO is no longer accepting applications for the Executive Director position

The Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras (GBYO) in Fairfield County, Connecticut is seeking applicants for its executive director role beginning in the 2013-2014 season. (July 2013) In partnership with the Music Director, the Executive Director assumes responsibility for the management of human and financial resources needed to achieve the GBYO’s mission.  The Executive Director is accountable for all administrative aspects of the organization, for supporting the vision of the Music Director and for implementing policies set forth by the Board of Directors. As the public face of the organization, the Executive Director is responsible for presenting positive images to young musicians, parents, donors, and members of the community regarding programs and the GBYO’s role in enhancing the music education of its members. The multi-faceted responsibilities call for demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with artistic and administrative staff, the board and community members.

This role is a part-time position averaging 20 hours/week. Competitive compensation. Interested applicants should email gbyo@gbyo.org for a position description and instructions on how to apply. Interviews targeted to begin late January 2013.
